Software Engineer
Object Trading is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer with 3 to 5 years experience in
software development. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated person to join this
multi disciplinary and talented team.
Responsibilities
- Working with the team leader for technical direction and support in
technical solutions, design and planning for projects.
- Performing design and analysis tasks including research and development
technology investigation for the company’s new products.
Skills And Attributes
- You will need to be degree qualified having a B.Sc or MSc or a PhD or
equivalent to qualify. In addition you will need to be highly experienced in
software development processes.
- A high standard of programming skill is required in C#, C++, NET, Java or
Delphi.
- Experience gained in multi-threaded application development processes would
be advantageous.
- Experienced in Windows, Linux, Oracle and SQL environments.
- Experienced in message based systems and protocols.Financial markets trading
applications development experience would be desirable.
- Ability to adapt to new and unfamiliar technologies, software languages or
tools would be desirable.
- You will need to be team focused with excellent verbal and written
communication skills.

Technical Application Support Specialist
Object Trading are seeking an experienced Technical Application Support
Specialist with a few years experience in triage and management of
production systems support issues. This is an exciting opportunity for a
humorous person to join this multi disciplinary and talented team.
Responsibilities
- Client telephone and on-site support including effective triage, analysis,
key generation and tracking to resolution of external client issues and defects
raised.
- Root cause analysis of client defects and client based production status
reporting.
- Communicating effectively with technical team members ensuring that any
problems identified during testing are promptly resolved.
Skills And Attributes
- Tertiary qualifications in computing or a relevant discipline including CSTP
and ITIL or equivalent industry experience is desirable.
- Excellent problem solving, problem management and analytical skills are
essential.
- Knowledge of front office banking and finance applications including
derivatives.
- Good working knowledge of client/server applications and testing issues as
well as application and messaging protocols e.g. HTTP, Corba, FIX.
- Knowledge of SDLC and test automation frameworks, such as GUI and unit test
frameworks.
- Experience gained in Windows and networking environments is desirable.
- You will need to be well organised and having good interpersonal skills when
dealing with clients for pre-sales support, help desk and consulting duties.
